why do you offer marine services?
Everybody needs a hobby!
Our owner has decades of combined experience in a wide range of engineering disciplines, having worked on projects of all sizes and complexities, and has the skills and knowledge to tackle any challenge.
Having a passion for sailing and all things of the sea (he is also a scuba diver), it was a natural progression to incorporate the things you love into the work day.
The oft quoted statement - "Do the thing you love, and you'll never work another day in your life" applies here
Experience
Consolidating years of experience by formalizing through qualification was the logical progression and courses by British Marine and NMEA followed. Working with shipbuilders Babcock Marine and BAE Naval ships gaining experience working on sailing yachts in Largs and Rosneath provided time to soak up knowledge.
A 5 day yacht delivery through the Crinan Canal to Oban tested mechanical and innovation skills where what seemed like constant gearbox issues provided memorable moments.
